Learn how to take iPhone and iPad use in libraries to the next level with this fun, hands-on class. Move beyond the basics and make these handheld devices work for you. Learn more about iCloud, your personal assistant Siri, multitasking, and parental controls. Explore popular apps for library services and multimedia, including apps for photo, video, and e-book access. Discover the many useful accessibility features that increase iPhone and iPad functionality for those with hearing, vision, dexterity, and language challenges. The class will conclude with tips and tricks.
We will have ten (10) iPads available in class for hands-on use, though you may also Bring Your Own Device of an iPhone and/or iPad.
Class Prerequisite: Either basic familiarity using iPhones or iPads, or attendance in the one-day ABC’s of iPhones & iPads: Basic Training for Librarians class.
Amy Brandley, ODL trainer and Edge consultant, photographer, and former library director, will teach the class.
Students may be eligible to get CEUs for attending the training classes which can be used to renew their librarian certification.
