As Oklahomans search for assistance, many turn to their public libraries to locate services and information. In a 2014 ALA survey of 1300 libraries, more than 85 percent of respondents said they assist mentally ill patrons on a regular basis.
To help libraries address this need, the Oklahoma Department of Libraries is pleased to partner with ODMHSAS and state and community organizations to host regional workshops for librarians. Library staff who attend will earn 0.6 CEUs.
