Reference Services Librarian
John Brown University, Siloam Springs, AR

Responsible for coordinating and providing library reference services, developing research guides and online tutorials, assisting with library instruction and collection development, and serving as a library liaison to designated academic programs. Also serves on university committees and participates in various library initiatives.

Adult Services Librarian
Keller Texas Public Library

1. Coordinate, implement and promote programs for adults including but not limited to adult education, craft programs, and book clubs. Assist patrons with reference needs utilizing print and non-print resources in all subject areas.
2. Select materials for assigned areas of the collection using approved selection tools and maintain resources using standard weeding practices, answering questions in person or by phone, mail, and e-mail.
3. Assist with graphic design and marketing for adult services and programs through various means such as newspaper advertisements, the Library newsletter, digital signage, website and social media.
4. Manage the library’s interlibrary loan lending program using Navigator and WorldCat, including shipping and receiving materials and communicating with partner libraries.
5. Assist the public in using the online catalog and other electronic resources to find library materials, and order materials through interlibrary loan, TexShare, and from other MetrOPAC libraries.
6. Have a working knowledge of and assist the public in using a variety of software applications, email, on-line databases, the internet, e-readers and all public access equipment and machines.
7. Operate standard library equipment such as audio-visual equipment, copiers, computers, self-checkout and sorting equipment.
8. Serve as Librarian in Charge in the absence of the Library Director and Library Services Manager.

Librarian 1 Digital Projects
Texas Woman’s University, Denton, TX

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Services and working with library staff and Center for Research Design and Analysis (CRDA) staff along with other university colleagues, this position will play a central role in the development of library services for the discovery, use, and management of locally and externally available data. The Digital Projects Librarian I will work closely with the Digital Services Team, subject librarians, and others to build a strong data repository and management program. This position will support university scholars, faculty, graduate students, researchers, librarians, and administrators. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures and is based on the accomplishment of defined objectives and the effectiveness of the assigned library functions.

Technical Services Assistant Librarian

General Description of Position and Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities—Under the direction of the Library Director, the Technical Services Librarian serves as part of the library management team participating in short and long-range planning, training of faculty and staff, data collection and reporting, policy development, and other professional support of library operations.

Sr. Librarian—Branch Manager
Rockwell and Comotara Branch Libraries—Wichita, KS

In addition, you must enjoy interacting directly with people of all ages from diverse backgrounds and be adept at understanding the needs of Library customers. It is important that you have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing work environment, and are able to identify and implement process improvements.

Specific duties of the position include but are not limited to: maintaining onsite supervision and management of the assigned branch locations. Ensuring consistent, high quality service delivery from the assigned branch locations. Developing and overseeing programs and services in each location that meet the rapidly evolving needs of community residents within the branch service areas. Implementing activities in support of the Library’s strategic plan as it relates to service from branch locations. Implementing process improvement techniques to provide continuous improvement as it relates to branch operations and work processes. Resolving operational issues and customer concerns in a timely manner. Selecting, scheduling, training, supervising and coaching staff assigned to the branch locations. Recommending library materials collection additions to fulfill needs and expectations of branch users. Coordinating assigned activities with other branches and sections of the Library. Actively participating in work of the Library’s supervisory team. Focusing on outcomes; prepares and submits reports and statistics. The successful candidate must also maintain a strong knowledge of current trends and emerging technologies, including electronic devices such as e-readers and tablets. Possesses a strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft operating system and software, Internet software and media applications, digital technologies, android, iOS, and other software and it is also preferable that the individual possesses ILS systems experience with Polaris.

To be considered for the position, candidates must have an MLS degree from an ALA accredited institution plus a minimum of two years of professional library experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. The salary range for this position is $51,880 – $95,424. The starting salary range for the position is $51,880–$73,652, commensurate with experience.

Librarian—Tech Team
Wichita Public Library Information Services Division—Wichita, KS

Specific duties of the position include but are not limited to assist customers in person and on the telephone. Create content for technology training classes. Teach and facilitate technology classes to the public and to staff. Collection development duties. Knowledge of and experience with Motor Manuals a plus. Serves as a team member on various library teams. Promotes Library collections, through displays, programs and services. Assists customers one-on-one with technology needs, through the Book-A-Librarian service. Prepares cash reports and counts money on a daily basis. We are looking for an individual who maintains a strong knowledge of current trends and emerging technologies, including electronic devices such as e-readers and tablets. Possesses a strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft operating system and software, Internet software and media applications, digital technologies, android, iOS, and other software. It is also preferable that the individual possesses ILS systems experience with Polaris. The schedule for this position is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30-5:30pm Friday and every other Saturday, 9:00 or 9:15-6:00 or 6:15. Tuesday 11:15-8:15. About every 4th Sunday.

To be considered for the position, candidates must have an MLS degree from an ALA accredited institution. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Offers of employment will be made contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which will include drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of the results of a criminal records check. The salary range for this position is $39,709 – $70,604. The starting salary range for the position is $39,709–$55,157, commensurate with experience.
