Youth Librarian (Two Positions)
Fort Worth Public Library

Job Description: The Library is seeking to hire two outgoing and creative Youth Librarians for two of FWPL’s library locations: Golden Triangle Library and the Central Library. The ideal candidates for this position will be customer-focused, enthusiastic about bringing library services to young people in the community, and comfortable working with diverse populations including people of all ages, backgrounds, dispositions, and abilities. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of professional librarian duties including designing and implementing high-interest programs, providing information and assistance to children, teens, and their parents/caregivers, performing reference and readers’ advisory services, providing technology support and instruction, and building relationships with community organizations.

Youth Services Assistant
Emporia Public Library, Emporia, KS

Job Description: The Emporia Public Library is looking for an energetic Youth Services Assistant.
This position must enjoy working with children ages birth to fifth grade and their families/caregivers on a regular basis and occasionally working with tweens and teens. This position will be responsible for planning and administering programs and promoting literacy to the community in a variety of ways and locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills; a competence in technology; be creative, positive and promote excellent customer service. This candidate must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with co-workers and library patrons. This is a 40 hour a week position and must be available to work nights and weekends. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. This position is open until filled.
