An Evaluation of ODL’s LSTA 5-Year Plan, 2013-2017

An Independent Evaluation of Oklahoma’s Implementation of the Library Services and Technology Act Grants to States Programs, 2013-2017 was prepared by Carson Block Consulting, Inc. and Himmel & Wilson Library Consultants and was released in March of 2017. The independent evaluation was commissioned by ODL Director Susan McVey and is required of all state libraries by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The evaluation covers projects that were implemented and funded from October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2016.

A web survey of Oklahoma librarians and library staff members was conducted as part of the evaluation. You can download a PDF file of the survey (83 pages), complete with the list of reporting libraries, pie-charts based on results, and anonymous comments from the survey takers. Two-hundred and seventy-seven (277) library staff from all types of libraries responded to the survey. (Note: The percentages on the pie charts are percentages of the total 277 respondents, not percentages of Oklahoma’s library community as a whole.)
