Voting is Now Open!
It’s time for students to select the 2017 Sequoyah Book Award Winners!
Students and young library patrons who have read three or more titles on their 2017 Sequoyah Masterlist are qualified to cast their votes to choose this year’s winners of America’s third-oldest youth-choice literary award.
Voting deadline is March 15, 2017
- School librarians and teachers should record cumulative votes at: tinyurl.com/OLAsequoyah
- In addition, teachers and librarians can encourage individual students to cast their vote on their own at the following link. Remind students of the honor code, and that they should only vote once. www.surveymonkey.com/r/votesequoyah
There’s still time to read!
Since voting is not over until March 15, your students still have time to read books from the age-appropriate masterlist. Download the Sequoyah 2017 Masterlists for all grade levels.
Winners will be announced on March 31 on the Oklahoma Library Association’s website and in The Oklahoman.
